New Hope Baptist Church began in the mid ’70s as a conservative Bible believing church. Pastor George Anderson has been ministering here almost from the beginning. Pastor Don Schunck was called to minister at New Hope along with Pastor Anderson in 2014. The church has over the past 2 decades made a transition to a Confessional Reformed Baptist Church, and adopted the London 1689 Confession of Faith in the early 2000’s. We joined the Southeast Association of Confessional Baptists in 2022. We are reformed, but always reforming according to the Word of God!
We believe that through Preaching and teaching of the Word of God and Fellowship, we can cultivate a deeper understanding of scripture and foster meaningful relationships among members. Join us as we gather for worship, share in prayer, and participate in events that strengthen our bonds. Together, we aim to uplift one another and spread the message of hope in our local community. We invite you to connect with us and discover how you can be part of our vibrant church family.
At its core, New Hope Baptist Church is driven by a mission to exalt the name of Christ in every aspect of life. The congregation strives, by God’s grace, to worship Him reverently, walk in obedience to His Word, and witness boldly to the surrounding community. This vision is rooted in the belief that the church exists solely for God’s glory, with every activity— from Sunday services to daily discipleship—aimed at magnifying Jesus Christ.
